WEA-SW

The South West Region is led operationally by the Regional Management Team (RMT) under the Regional Director, Steve Martin.

The RMT consists of :

Finance Manager - Chris Davis

MIS Manager - David Kay

Curriculum Manager - John Young

There is a Quality Assurance Group, consisting of some members of RMT and other core staff who oversee all curriculum quality issues, including Observation of Teaching and Learning. We are currently working towards the matrix standard for information, advice and guidance and progress is monitored via this group.

The Regional Committee, consisting of core staff and volunteers, is responsible for the strategic management and governance function of the Region. Chair of this committee is Arthur Massey. This committee is serviced by two sub-committees, Finance (Chair Richard Crisp) and Education (Chair Frank Colls). Meetings are held around 5 times a year and elsewhere on this web site you can see copies of agendas and minutes.

Course organisation is overseen by our local Organisers. Often they will be responding to requests from local branches. In addition to our Organisers we have specialist Workplace and Skills for Life co-ordinators who work across the region with employers as well as community groups.
